Rhetorically speaking

Politics is poisonous to society.

It pits people in pens with crude gates,

stirring to hate based on hearsay of principle,

and focusing only on the most polarizing

aspects to win the argument on.

It ignores inconveniences,

that might humanize it’s theories

in favor of airtight righteousness.

But it never will create the perfect place,

because built on generalizations

and obfuscations to rally emotion,

it exists only in theory

and a subjective one too,

meaning that though convinced it unites us,

we each really believe it serves a purpose,

unique to our own preference of the future.
