Inside
We will laugh about this someday,
ravaging cabinets in pursuit of purposeful progress,
wound up and marooned but accustomed to it.
Waiting needs to find something to replace the time with,
to occupy the space so you don’t notice the absence,
but dynamic enough to mimic the capricious existence that led up to this interlude.
Among others
We pay attention to ideas we want to incorporate into our option;
we interpret them through the lens of former understanding;
we relate to others a combination and they judge us for it.
We empathize when our advantage sees their perspective,
yet our company sometimes can’t relate,
which proves the elasticity of opinion based on association.
