Absorb to understand,
plan to fall to crawl then stand
maybe not perfect but preferable.
In proximity we level up
though opportunity vests heavier on one
the other hurls fun at titles meant to elevate some
to better earnings while work raises the same
through relentless steps to arrive tired.
We share the elevator down.
A current in the dark causes a pause in rest,
from intervals of lucid frustration,
warm legs hemmed in,
shoulders chilled by shed sheets,
the dream of dreaming,
of stalling tomorrow to beat the night leaving.
Suggestion settles into memories
resurfacing as ideas laid claim to.
